title sequence
Film's name display
A title sequence is the segment at the beginning of a film or television program that displays credits—typically the title, major cast, and key crew—often with distinctive visuals and music.
Some title sequences become iconic: the James Bond gun barrel, the Game of Thrones map.
A show may use a brief title card instead of a full sequence, or place credits over the opening scene.
