crazies
People deemed unhinged
The crazies are people considered mentally unstable, irrational, or fanatically extreme.
The term is dismissive and often used to distance the speaker from a group: The crazies have taken over the party, Don't let the crazies get to you.
It can refer to genuinely disturbed individuals or simply those whose views the speaker finds outlandish.
