cracksman
Professional vault thief
A cracksman is a burglar, specifically one skilled at breaking into safes or vaults.
The term is British, somewhat old-fashioned, and carries a note of grudging admiration for criminal expertise: The cracksman had defeated every lock in the building.
It appears mainly in crime fiction and period pieces.
