congressional caucus
Lawmakers' interest group
A congressional caucus is an informal group of legislators who share a common interest, identity, or goal.
Members of Congress form caucuses around issues (the Climate Solutions Caucus), demographics (the Congressional Black Caucus), industries (the Steel Caucus), or regions.
Caucuses coordinate strategy, share information, and advocate for their shared concerns, but have no formal legislative power.
