concordats
Church-state treaties
Concordats are formal agreements, especially treaties between the Vatican and a secular government regulating church-state relations: The concordat guaranteed the church's right to operate schools.
More broadly, any official compact or covenant between parties.
The singular concordat appears more often than the plural.
