communication satellites
Space-based signal transmitters
Communication satellites are spacecraft in orbit that relay signals between distant points on Earth.
They enable television broadcasts, telephone calls, internet connections, and GPS navigation by receiving transmissions from one ground station and beaming them to another.
Most occupy geostationary orbit, remaining fixed above one spot: The broadcast reached millions via communication satellite.
