colorizers

Those adding pigment

Colorizers are people or software that add color to black-and-white images or film.

The term usually refers to digital tools that automatically apply realistic color to old photographs or movies: AI colorizers can transform vintage family photos in seconds.

Human colorizers working on historical footage make artistic decisions about hues that no record preserves.
