colorist
Comic book painter
A colorist is someone who works professionally with color.
In film and photography, the colorist adjusts and enhances the color palette of images in post-production: The colorist gave the film its distinctive blue-gray look.
In comic books and animation, a colorist adds color to line art.
In hair salons, a colorist specializes in dyeing and highlighting.
A colorist may also be someone who discriminates based on skin color, particularly within racial groups—favoring lighter or darker complexions.
