closed circuits
Unbroken electrical paths
Closed circuits are electrical paths where current flows in a complete loop, returning to its source—as opposed to open circuits, where the path is broken.
The term extends to closed-circuit television (CCTV), where signals transmit to a limited set of monitors rather than broadcasting publicly: The parking garage is monitored by closed circuit.
