heterosexuals
Attracted to opposite
Heterosexuals are people sexually attracted to the opposite sex—men attracted to women, women attracted to men.
The term is clinical in origin but now standard: The study included both heterosexuals and homosexuals.
Informally, straight is more common: Most of my friends are straight.
