Truce-designated region
A ceasefire zone is a designated area where opposing forces have agreed to stop fighting.
Unlike a demilitarized zone, which typically excludes military presence entirely, a ceasefire zone may still contain armed forces that have simply agreed not to engage: Humanitarian workers delivered supplies through the ceasefire zone.
The term often appears in news coverage of conflicts where full peace hasn't been achieved.
