cattle station

Australian livestock farm

A cattle station is a large ranch for raising beef cattle, the term used in Australia and parts of New Zealand.

These properties can be enormous—some covering thousands of square miles in the remote outback.

The cattle station had been in the family for four generations.

The equivalent term in North America would be cattle ranch.
