catheterized
Had tube inserted
Catheterized describes having had a catheter inserted—a thin, flexible tube placed into the body to drain fluids or deliver medication.
Most commonly refers to urinary catheterization, where a tube is inserted through the urethra to drain the bladder: The patient was catheterized before surgery.
Also applies to cardiac catheterization, where a tube is threaded through blood vessels to the heart.
