carpet tiles
Sectional floor covering
Carpet tiles are modular squares of carpet, typically one to two feet on a side, designed to be laid individually rather than as a single rolled sheet.
They allow easy replacement of worn or stained sections without redoing an entire floor: We kept extra carpet tiles in the closet for when the dog had accidents.
Common in offices and basements.
