caricaturize
Draw with exaggeration
To caricaturize is to depict someone or something as a caricature—exaggerating distinctive features for comic or satirical effect.
The word applies to visual art and to writing or speech that reduces a person or idea to exaggerated traits: The sketch caricaturized the senator's jowls and scowl.
Politicians complain of being caricaturized by opponents who distort their positions.
