pastiche

Borrowed artistic voice

A pastiche is a work of art, literature, or music that imitates the style of another artist or period.

Unlike parody, which mocks its source, pastiche is usually affectionate or neutral—a tribute rather than a joke: The film is a pastiche of 1940s noir.

The word can also describe a hodgepodge of borrowed elements: The building was an architectural pastiche.
