card-reader
Access control device
A card-reader is a device that reads data from cards—credit cards, ID badges, memory cards, or similar media.
Swiping a card through a card-reader at a store terminal processes payment.
Card-readers at building entrances control access.
Computer card-readers accept SD cards and other removable storage: I need a card-reader to transfer photos from my camera.
