cable tie
Bundling strap, disposable
A cable tie is a thin plastic strip with a ratcheting mechanism that locks when threaded through its own head, used to bundle wires, cables, or other items together.
Once tightened, standard cable ties cannot be loosened and must be cut to remove.
Also called zip ties, they appear everywhere from electrical work to makeshift handcuffs in police detentions.
I used a cable tie to secure the loose cables behind my desk.
