bulging disc
Vertebral cushion displacement
A bulging disc is a spinal condition where a disc between vertebrae extends beyond its normal boundary, pressing outward without rupturing.
Unlike a herniated disc, the outer layer remains intact.
The bulge can compress nearby nerves, causing pain, numbness, or weakness: The MRI showed a bulging disc at L4-L5.
Common in the lower back and neck.
