Brown rice flour is flour milled from whole-grain brown rice, retaining the bran and germ that white rice flour lacks.
It has a slightly nutty flavor and grainier texture, popular in gluten-free baking: I substituted brown rice flour for the wheat flour.
It produces denser results than refined flours and goes rancid faster due to its oil content.
