brake cleaner
Friction surface spray
Brake cleaner is a fast-evaporating solvent spray used to remove oil, grease, and brake dust from automotive brake components.
Mechanics use it before replacing pads or rotors to ensure clean surfaces.
It's also widely used as a general-purpose degreaser for metal parts: I hit the chain with some brake cleaner before relubing it.
