boomstick
Slang for shotgun
A boomstick is slang for a firearm, especially a shotgun—named for the loud boom it makes when fired.
The term gained wide currency from the *Evil Dead* film series, where the hero uses it to describe his shotgun.
It carries a casual, often playful tone: Grabbed my boomstick and headed out to the range.
