water gun

Poolside battle toy

A water gun is a toy gun that shoots streams of water, used in warm-weather play and water fights.

Also called a squirt gun.

The design ranges from simple squeeze-trigger models to elaborate pump-action versions that shoot farther and hold more water.

The kids chased each other with water guns all afternoon.
