bond trader

Fixed-income market professional

A bond trader is a financial professional who buys and sells debt securities—government bonds, corporate bonds, and other fixed-income instruments—typically for a bank, hedge fund, or investment firm.

Unlike stock traders, bond traders work in markets where most trading happens directly between institutions rather than on public exchanges.

She started as a bond trader at Goldman Sachs before moving to portfolio management.
