boilerman
Steam system operator
A boilerman operates and maintains boilers—large vessels that heat water to produce steam for power, heating, or industrial processes.
The term is most common in maritime and industrial contexts, where boilermen monitor pressure, temperature, and fuel systems: The boilerman reported a drop in steam pressure.
