boilerhouse

Industrial heating building

A boilerhouse is a building or room containing boilers that generate steam or hot water for heating, industrial processes, or power generation.

The term appears in both industrial contexts and as a modifier: boilerhouse operations, the old factory boilerhouse.

In British usage, it may also describe the engine room of a ship.
