cold store

Chilled storage facility

A cold store is a refrigerated warehouse or room for preserving perishable goods at low temperatures.

The term is more common in British English than American, where cold storage dominates: The meat went straight to the cold store after processing.

To put something in cold storage is to postpone it indefinitely.
