blockiness
Lacking smooth curves
Blockiness is the quality of being blocky—having a chunky, squared-off, or angular appearance.
The term appears most often in discussions of digital images, where blockiness refers to visible pixelation: The video compression introduced noticeable blockiness.
It also describes physical forms: the blockiness of Brutalist architecture, the blockiness of his jaw.
