audio tapes
Reels of sound
Audio tapes are magnetic tapes used to record and play back sound.
The format dominated music distribution and home recording from the 1960s through the 1990s, in forms including reel-to-reel, eight-track, and cassette.
I found a box of old audio tapes in the attic.
Now largely obsolete, replaced by digital formats.
