artbooks
Illustrated artist collections
Artbooks are books showcasing visual art—typically high-quality reproductions of paintings, photographs, illustrations, or design work.
They emphasize images over text and are often printed on heavy paper with careful attention to color reproduction.
The term also refers to books collecting concept art, sketches, or production designs from films, video games, or animation: The studio released an artbook showing early character designs.
In manga and anime fandom, artbooks compile an artist's illustrations outside their main published work.
