arboretums

Botanical tree parks

Arboretums is the plural of arboretum—a botanical garden devoted to trees and woody plants.

Universities and cities maintain arboretums for research, education, and public enjoyment: The arboretums we visited had impressive collections of Japanese maples.

The Latin plural arboreta also appears, though arboretums is more common in American English.
