anti-fandom
Collective active hatred
Anti-fandom is organized opposition to a cultural property—a TV show, band, celebrity, or franchise—that mirrors fandom in intensity but inverts its energy.
Where fans celebrate, anti-fans critique, mock, or campaign against.
The phenomenon requires genuine investment: indifference doesn't qualify.
The anti-fandom around that franchise is almost as active as the fandom itself.
Anti-fans may follow developments closely, attending to every misstep worth criticizing.
