superfandom
Intense fan devotion
Superfandom is fandom taken to an extreme—intense, devoted engagement with a cultural property or celebrity that goes beyond casual enjoyment.
Where ordinary fans might watch a show, superfans attend conventions, collect memorabilia, create fan art, and build communities around their obsession: The superfandom around K-pop groups rivals anything in Western pop culture.
The term can be neutral or gently mocking depending on context.
