albedos

Light reflection measures

Albedos is the plural of albedo, a measure of how much light a surface reflects.

In astronomy and climate science, different surfaces have different albedos: fresh snow reflects most sunlight (high albedo), while dark ocean water absorbs most of it (low albedo).

Scientists study the albedos of various land surfaces to model climate change.
