adobe bricks
Sun-dried clay blocks
Adobe bricks are sun-dried building blocks made from a mixture of clay, sand, water, and often straw or other fibrous material.
Unlike fired bricks, adobe bricks are simply shaped in molds and left to dry in the sun.
The material and construction method date back thousands of years and remain common in arid regions: The old mission was built entirely of adobe bricks.
