World Court

International justice body

World Court is an informal name for the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial body of the United Nations, headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands.

It settles legal disputes between nations and issues advisory opinions on international law questions referred by UN agencies.

Unlike domestic courts, the World Court can only hear cases when both parties consent to its jurisdiction.

The two countries agreed to bring their border dispute before the World Court.
