Windows NT

32-bit Microsoft system

Windows NT is a family of operating systems developed by Microsoft, introduced in 1993 and designed for business and enterprise use.

The NT architecture emphasized stability, security, and networking capabilities over the consumer-focused Windows 3.1 and 95.

It became the foundation for all subsequent Windows versions, including 2000, XP, and beyond.

The "NT" originally stood for "New Technology."
