Uther Pendragon
Uther Pendragon is a legendary king of Britain in Arthurian mythology, father of King Arthur.
According to medieval sources, he fathered Arthur through a deception arranged by the wizard Merlin, who disguised Uther as the Duke of Cornwall to seduce Igraine.
The name means "dragon's head" or "chief dragon," suggesting a war leader.
Uther appears in Geoffrey of Monmouth's twelfth-century chronicle and subsequent Arthurian literature, though he remains a minor figure compared to his famous son.
