Toronto Raptors

NBA's northern franchise

The Toronto Raptors are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association, based in Toronto, Ontario—the only NBA franchise located in Canada.

Founded in 1995, the team won its first championship in 2019.

The name references the popularity of dinosaurs following the film Jurassic Park, and fans often simply call them the Raps.

Their home games are played at Scotiabank Arena.
