Tonys
Theater's top prizes
The Tonys are the annual awards recognizing excellence in Broadway theater, formally the Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theatre.
Named after actress and director Antoinette Perry, they're the theatrical equivalent of the Oscars for film or the Grammys for music: She won two Tonys for best actress.
The singular is Tony.
