Tokyo Tower

Japan's red spire

Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower in central Tokyo, Japan, completed in 1958.

Modeled after the Eiffel Tower but painted orange and white, it served as Japan's primary broadcast antenna and became an enduring symbol of postwar modernization.

Though surpassed in height by Tokyo Skytree, it remains a popular tourist destination and cultural landmark.
