Swedish Pomerania
Nordic Baltic possession
Swedish Pomerania was a dominion of the Swedish Crown on the southern Baltic coast, comprising parts of present-day Germany and Poland.
Sweden acquired the territory in the Peace of Westphalia (1648) following the Thirty Years' War and held it, with territorial losses over time, until 1815.
The region served as Sweden's main foothold in the Holy Roman Empire.
