Sundance Kid
The Sundance Kid was an American outlaw of the Old West, born Harry Alonzo Longabaugh, who partnered with Butch Cassidy in the Wild Bunch gang during the 1890s.
He got his nickname from the town of Sundance, Wyoming, where he served jail time.
The 1969 film *Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid* cemented both figures in popular culture.
The Sundance Film Festival, founded by Robert Redford (who played the Kid), takes its name from the character.
