Butch Cassidy

Butch Cassidy was the alias of Robert LeRoy Parker (1866–1908?), an American outlaw who led the Wild Bunch gang in a series of bank and train robberies across the American West.

He and the Sundance Kid fled to South America around 1901, where they reportedly died in a shootout with Bolivian soldiers.

The 1969 film made their names iconic shorthand for charming outlaws on the run.
