Suncoast refers to coastal regions marketed for their sunny climate, most commonly Florida's Gulf Coast from Tampa Bay southward.
The term appears in business names, media outlets, and regional identifiers throughout the area: Suncoast beaches attract millions of tourists annually.
Similar sunny-coast branding appears elsewhere but Florida's usage dominates.
