Star of David
Two triangles interlaced
The Star of David is a six-pointed star formed by two overlapping triangles, serving as the principal symbol of Judaism and Jewish identity.
It appears on the flag of Israel and on synagogues, gravestones, and Jewish ceremonial objects.
During the Holocaust, Nazis forced Jews to wear yellow Stars of David as identification badges.
The Hebrew name is Magen David, meaning "shield of David."
