Schlemm's canal

Eye's drainage channel

Schlemm's canal is a circular channel in the eye that drains aqueous humor—the fluid filling the front of the eyeball.

Located where the cornea meets the iris, it carries fluid from the eye's interior into the bloodstream.

Blockage or malfunction of Schlemm's canal can cause elevated eye pressure, contributing to glaucoma.
