Randy Newman
Randy Newman is an American singer-songwriter and film composer known for sardonic, character-driven songs that often employ unreliable narrators to satirize racism, small-mindedness, and American culture.
His piano-based style draws on New Orleans R&B and Tin Pan Alley traditions.
Newman has scored numerous Pixar films and is perhaps best known to general audiences for "You've Got a Friend in Me" from *Toy Story*.
His song "Short People" caused controversy when listeners missed its satirical intent.
