Prism's colorful sequence
ROYGBIV is a mnemonic for the colors of the visible spectrum in order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
It represents the sequence seen in rainbows and light passed through a prism.
Whether indigo deserves inclusion is debated—Newton added it to reach seven colors, a number he considered significant.
