Queen's Guard
Bearskin hat wearers
The Queen's Guard (or King's Guard under a male monarch) are the soldiers responsible for guarding official royal residences in the United Kingdom, most famously Buckingham Palace.
They wear distinctive ceremonial uniforms—red tunics and tall bearskin caps—and are known for standing motionless at their posts.
Despite their tourist-attraction status, they are active-duty soldiers.
